Since I've been into quilting, I've noticed I have put on a few pounds. I'm doing a lot of sitting and sliding in my chair from my sewing machine to my ironing board, which is not very much exercise.

So I started attending Zumba Classes and I love it. What a work out. I have never had so much sweat pouring out of me exercising before. It is so much fun. My daughters and my sister and some church friends all are attending these classes with me. And it is trimming down my waistline. I finally have a curve going on again in my waist.

Was wondering if any of you are into Zumba?

Yes! My company's health plan includes some free exercise classes. I'm not that good at it, but it's fun. Have you ever seen Elaine on "Seinfeld" do her little dance? That's what I feel like! When I first started, I was hoping no one would call 911 thinking I was having seizures! LOL

I know, I felt the same way and still do because I have attended 3 so far. I work out here at home too so I am getting better and better, but still got a long way to go. It is just so fun and I already see a difference. I haven't got on the scales yet though.

You might notice more of a loss of inches than pounds. At least, that is the case with me. My weight has stayed the same the last couple of months, but my waist is smaller.

You probably are right too. I just wanted to lose about 10 lbs. because the age I am now, I am getting flabby, especially under my arms and the top of my legs. lol! and not to mention my belly wanting to poke out now. I am hoping my stomach will tighten back up and firm up the other stuff. Anyway, I'm having fun doing it! :)

The worst part is feeling like someone is watching you make a lot of mistakes which is to be expected. I just laugh at myself and keep trying because I know practice makes perfect.

They tell us not to do the moves that hurts your back or knee, etc. Just to keep moving doing something, so you can get your workout.

I don't have time to watch anyone else because I have to keep my eye on the teacher.

I love Zumba! I bought the DVD's so I can do it at home. Lots of fun, and good exercise! :)
