    It looks like what my grandmother had ,she used it for a dry press when she made down quilts.she weaved the cloth through the bars to flatten it before she was to sew it, and she also used it when she put the feathers between the cloth to help to tighten the cloth before sewing.. well thats what it looked like ..

    it strikes me as a Tatting Machine. I never saw a tatting machine, nor do I even know if there Is such a thing. hahaha...
