Default Brrrr Really Cold Weekend in Orgeon

I know the whole country is freezing, but we don't usually see this kind of weather. I live south of Eugene, OR and it was about nine degrees when these were taken. The silver vine is really silvery now!

Ditto here in Spanaway, WA. It was 13 degrees when I went to bed last night, 10pm, and 9 degrees when I got up at 3am this morning. The outside frost free faucets are frozen, hah. Likely the water pipe from the pump house to the outside has frozen. Sure hope they are not cracked. I had to haul water buckets out to the chickens this morning. At least we did not have snow.

I know it's cold there and love your pictures. Truly a winter wonderland!! It's 45 here now and should be in the 70's tomorrow... Understand your pain as I lived in Ohio a long time ago and it would really get cold with freezing weather and snow... Stay warm and safe...

I think every football game today is playing in the snow. It has been frigid here in the Denver area for days. We are looking forward to any kind of warm up. Love the picture of the spiderweb.

One of my best friend lives in Oregon and she has never seen so much snow EVER. The water pump froze up so they had no water for half of the day !!

I learned the hard way that if you leave every faucet in your house dripping, and the under-cabinet doors open, you will usually not have a problem with frozen pipes....I grew up in Montana and remember doing it there as well so I guess it works when it's really, really cold as well.
