I know this is silly, but when I put a new post on, and someone answers, I have to look over where it says how many looked. I always wonder who looked and how come they did not say anything. I do the same thing myself, so why do I wonder at that. 17/185. Seventeen answered from 185 who looked.

Tell me to stop thinking about it.

There are so many posts it would fill up an entire day just to respond to them :) As it is, it takes half the day reading them lol

In the column called Author/Posts/Views. There are two numbers like this - 22/176. The first is how many people answered and the second is the total of how many looked.

I do not respond a lot. Often I don't have an answer or someone has already posted the answer I would have given. Also the Lurkers can not post til they sign up (at least that is my understanding). I am not trying to ignore anyone. Keep posting.

Stop thinking about it! It means that 185 smiled for the day, but only 17 people had a clever comment about it! :)
I admit I obsessively check my posts too...but I don't pay much attention to the "looked at" numbers...I wait in anticipation for the "comment" number to go up, then gleefully check to see what wisdom or comisseration my quilty friends have for me.

I do the same type of thing, but sometimes the other number is so large.....

You're right though. I guess the lurkers just read and cannot say anything.

Ever hear the saying "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all"?

Sometimes I look and think that others have already said what I might, and I'm not a clutter person, so don't add to what's already there. You'll never find my initials on tables, or name on walls either, as there isn't that need to say "I was here".

Maybe you want to spend some time with the watch/unwatch button and e-mail notifications section and turn everything off. Then, what you don't know won't bother you.

The funny thing is, I am not even sure that it bothers me. I just wonder about it. I guess I think too much.

Okay, Anne. Get into the sewing room!!
