Remember when people's coloring would be classified as a Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall?

Or, when my daughter and I had ours done, I was Muted - and I don't remember what the others were.

That book on color was a revelation to me. I realized I'd choose to buy something because it was my color, and I may not have found it useful later. My DD is winter and I'm spring, so I stopped trying to dress her in my colors and made her cute little outfits in her colors. I now look at quilts with that bias (no pun intended.) Do I like that quilt design because the colors are my favorite, or is a pattern I really want to attempt?

I remember those days. I was a summer, but a lot of my decorating and quilts are autumn colours. Love the warm colours.

Yes, my sister and I both had ours done many years ago.
It was a surprise to us both. We went into our closets,
and in one spot that we used most were the colors that
we should have had, and on the other side were the clothes
we thought we should have had, but didn't wear much. So
sister and I merely exchanged clothing since we were more
or less the same size. She was a winter and I was an autumn,
and we've both gone that route every since, happily.

I had mine done about 12 years ago and I was summer, with an emphasis on sweet pea kinds of colours. Whenever I wear these, I always get nice comments!

Would you believe I found my "color card" last week while cleaning out my dresser drawers. I had not thought about it in a long time.
