We use our iPad with a map app and there's a marker that moves as we do. Immediate knowledge of a mistake in direction. We knew not to use the Google Maps after it telling us we could drive to FL from Seattle in 2 days! HA!

All I know is on our way to Ft. Benning from CO in the middle of the night we exited from one freeway and the entrance to the next rt was almost immediate and we almost missed it. PS this was going in a circle, so was our heads and eyes.

interesting comment! We are moving to Atlanta - bought a house in NW part. True there is traffic but it is not bumper to bumper 24/7. I have spent a lot of time over the years visiting - driving by myselffrom here to there and back again. Rush hour is usually heavy. If there is a wreck it ties up. Last week we left town during rush hour heading south on the connector and amazingly very light traffic. The map apps of your choice or GPS will usually give several routes. We are usually looking for less traveled routes.

I would rather drive thru Atlanta than St. Louis or Nashville any day.
We hit Atlanta 10 PM on a Sunday night and got thru in 20 min.
From my experience Friday night rush hours are the worst.
We have Tom Tom --yes got us lost! We used it that one time --Done!
