Enroute to the NC air balloon festival today in Statesville, my wonderful husband let me stop in Mooresville at Joanns. I got some neat things but the best thing is they told me that a new Joanns will be opening November 11 in Pineville, NC. That's only 30 minutes from me!

We are getting a new Joann's in 2012 here in Brunswick. Right now I have to drive 1 1/4 hours to get to one. (Good thing the Grandkids are near by. I can kill to birds with one stone.) I like to get my batting and threads but I keep loyal to my quilt store.

I hope it isn't like our current JoAnns! Since it was bought out by Green Corp. It is horrible!! Prices have gone sky high. $12.99-13.99. for some Fabric they carried last year for $5.99 is now *-8--9 dollars a yd. Also, I pd 10.00 for a bundle of fat qrts. They were not 18x22, 10.25"x20. I told them if it ever happen again, I would quit shopping there. I spend anywhere from $1,500-$2,000 a year there. If I'm going to pay quilt shop prices!! I'll go to my LQS Tinker
