go to "www.flylady." Site. She will organise you and give suggestions on tools and products. Great site with ideas in baby steps.

Has anybody tried the Seventh Generation products? They are pet friendly, non-toxic and plant based (rather than chemical based). I use all of their cleaners, shower spray, toilet bowl cleaner, and I love all of them. Not only are they very effective cleaners, but I have the added confidence that they are non-toxic.

Favorite cleaning solution for everything....
Works great on removing soap scum on showers/ tubs, floors, walls, sinks, ....

Mix together
2 oz Dawn dish soap
4 oz lemon juice
8 oz vinegar
10 oz water.
Put in spray bottle
Use to clean pretty much everything
I use vinegar on windows/ mirrors
And, if toilet ( or other surface is especially bad sprinkle with baking soda then spritz with above cleaning solution the foaming result really makes light work of tough stains.
Cleans and disinfects very well without toxic chemicals

I like Scrubbing Bubbles for the tub. It's especially good on rings. Didn't know there was a store brand. Will have to look for it.

I have been using Invisible Glass on my windows AND mirrors for the past six years. I have a mirror over my stove and that stuff is great for getting rid of grease splatter on glass. Scubbing Bubbles for the bathroom, Spic & Span liquid for floors and walls, and Dawn for everything else. Here in California it is hard to get some of the cleaning agents - our legislature is terrified that someone might missuse something. TSP is almost impossible to find (I travel to Arizona or Nevada to shop), as are a lot of other types of solvents and cleaners. Thankfully, I haven't had any problem finding Comet.
