Default Florida Outdoor Mega Show

I am now living in Florida and have been invited to vendor at the Florida Outdoor Mega Show to be held at the St. Johns Fairgrounds February 11th and 12th. Since I am new to the area, I am asking if anyone is familiar with this show and if you think it would be worth my time to vendor at this show. They state that they do lots of advertising including advertising for the vendoring section of the show. I would be selling my hand crafted items which include quilts, mug rugs, coozies, microwave bowls and anything else I make up to add to this list. I think I would focus on outdoor themed items - boating etc. Your feedback would be very helpful. Thanks.

I guess you won't know until you try...I'd do it if I were you.

is this every year? if so, ask around to see what is selling and what not to make. Good luck and please tell us how you do.

lynnie, sounds like they have these shows every few months. I declined to participate in the one in February but was asked if I would be interested in the one in June. Since they have them often, I thought I would attend the one in February and see if what I sell fits into the venue. We recently moved to FL and I'm not sure if I would have enough inventory for a two day sale.

For those who don't know, St. John's County is St. Augustine area and is very busy with tourist and winter visitors in Feb. There are various types of events going on all year long in the area and draws people from all over. Their events are usually well attended and successful overall.

Thank you for the information, c joyce. Maybe I will do it later in the year.

I too live in Fl. I don't believe you would have near as many people around in June. Feb is the busiest month in this area and June is empty.

Thank you Morningstar. That thought did cross my mind.

I live in FL and June is hot and humid. The Outdoor Mega Show is all about outdoor activities, boating, fishing, hunting, RVing, etc. A lot of people here now are snowbirds and leave FL usually by the end of April or mid May. I'd do the February show if I were you. The tourists are out in full force and that area is kind of ritzy and very popular.
