What do you think? I was at the salon for 6.5 hours! I like it, so does Hubby. Thank goodness b/c that is the reason we women subject ourselves to this right, men? lol
Here they are.

I have very curly hair and have had mine straightened in the past. Isn't it a wonderful feeling? Yours looks great, so smooth and healthy!
Why did it take 6.5 hours, though? I've done it at home in an hour or two, and in the salon it only ever took 2 hours at most.
I'd like to see a before picture, too. Then we can all really appreciate the difference.

Well, considering I've spent tens of thousands of dollars over the years trying to get my hair to curl, all I can do is shake my head!! But your hair looks great. For straight hair, that is!
And NO, that is NOT why women do things to their hair. Take my sister, who had hair down past her knees. Virgin hair that she didn't even use heat on. It was gorgeous, didn't have a split or broken end. Our hair dresser knew just how to get her. When he suggested cutting it, her reply was "Oh, my husband would go nuts". His comeback was, "Well, since your husband is in charge of YOUR hair, I guess we'd better do what he wants". She thought about it for about six-tenths of a second and said "You are right. It's my hair not his. Cut it!". Of course hubby was smart enough to keep his mouth shut! ROFL

Thank you all. Here is the onl pic I have on computer. This was back in June. My hair is naturally wavy. I had gotten a perm in 2006, 2007 and 2008. This pic is from June of 09. I either wanted my hair perfectly straight or curly. My natural hair is wave. I love the straight look. But prolly later I will want a change.
Thanks again, Kyia.

It looks great!!!!! I just had mine done, though it was called a smoothing protein treatment rather than a straightening per se. I love my hair now, no effort and it's smooth (and I live in a humid place).
Mine took about 3 hours start to finish but it wasn't curly to begin with, just way.
I'll definitely do it again!
