Okay -- I've been cooking for 53 yrs.....I've had many holiday dinners at my home and ALWAYS helped my mother.....so now what's wrong with me????????????????

The story -- I decided to make a new recipe --- one I posted here. Frosted Cranberry Salad. Recipe calls for boiling the juice from one can of pineapple and adding 2 small packages of lemon jello. When that's disolved, add 7 oz ginger ale. Well, did you know they even MADE 7 oz of ginger ale??? I didn't think ---- poured in the whole can -- 12 oz. OH NO...I did it because DH came in and started talking (nope - don't have him trained yet). SO --- now to figure out how to fix this. We got into an argument about how much liquid to add if I double that portion. nope, don't have enough other stuff to double the whole recipe. Figured it out -- then discovered I didn't have 2 more pkgs of lemon jello ---- oh, well, lime is close enough. SO, I mixed it together...added the pineapple and cranberry sauce!!!! Do you know what happens when you mix cranberry sauce, lime jello and lemon jello???????????? you get BROWN jello!!! ROLMAO!!! So -- now I have it done, pop it in the fridge. But -- what to do with the other half of the first mixture....hmmmm Let it set up. Once it was set up, i thought I'd have a bite -- YOWSA!!! That is the most bitter stuff I've EVER eaten!!! Lord only knows what I did!!!ROL Good thing we're not having company today!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I always forget to cook or put on the table something. Usually it's the dinner rolls!
