Hey everybody- I am always having problems with King size blankets not being long enough on the sides.
Finally one day I took some pretty floral flannel (heavy type) and stitched about 8 inches down both sides, leaving a space at the bottom so that when I tuck in the blanket the added fabric just drapes. Now my hubby and I don't get short-blanketed anymore!!
Easy to do but maybe it will help someone. :)

Wow that's a good idea. We have a queen size bed and I got tired of fighting over sheets and blankets so I started buying king size, no more problems.

Oh no!!!!!! I'm terribly challenged in the drawing dept :(
It's very easy. Just choose the width you want and sew down each side of the blanket to about where you would tuck in the bottom of the blanket. But really you could go all the way down the side- doesn't matter. Ohhhh I hope this helps!!

We've had the same problem with "king" sized for years. However, I've "sort of"solved it. Thanks to my husband who is European and wants his OWN blanket. So I now have twin sized comforters, cover them with twin size duvet covers, and that's that. No top sheet. Only problem is I have to buy each item separately, so I've figured out a way to make my own comforters with the top sheets that come in a sheet set. And I don't have to "make up" the bed each day, just fold up the comforters, and let the bed air out. Works great.
