Default How many "snow - birds" are here?

When I was younger I could never understand the whole "snow - bird" concept , living one place in the summer and leave to leave in a warmer climate in winter. Now that I am older and this winter has certainly been harsh... I get it! I wonder how many here are snow birds and when did you first go south for the winter?

My aunt owns a home in Kansas (which she inherited in 1996), she lives there from end of May to early November, then she returns to Los Angeles, where her children live. (I live in the very southern part of CA, so we stay here year round.)

I must be crazy but I do not want to be a snow bird! It was 13 below this morning but I know spring will be worth the winter wait and snow makes everything so clean and pretty

My Aunt and Uncle are snow birds and boy, this winter it is looking better and better. Of course if the cold weather reaches Florida this next Vortex, they will be in the same boat and with no central heating!

After living in Florida for 30 years, I moved to MN for 12. I never wanted to be a snowbird because I had a nice condo with heated underground parking. Since moving to NY this year, I would really love to go south for a month or two... this has been a grueling winter.

I am a heat bird. We fly to mountains by car and truck when it gets 95 to 100 here in AZ.

I am not a snowbird either but we're thinking of going "south" for a few months next winter... the thought of leaving the house here during winter time is holding me up though. I might overcome this!?!
