Well here we go. Wasn't the earthquake enough. How is everyone doing? I live in northern Maryland and awaiting the storm sometime Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
They are making people leave Ocean City, Maryland, by Friday. Please stay safe to everyone on the east coast.

I hope everyone will be safe and the whole east coast will be in my prayers and thoughts till this hurricane is over. Yes get all of your fabric bins, machines, anything sewing related UP OFF the floor and onto shelves, furniture, tables where ever you need to put it to get it off of the floors in case there is flooding. It would be just devastating to lose all your sewing stuff.
I have a friend that lives in Louisiana that just had her house raised ( still big hole under her house as they just got moved back in the house this past weekend) but her house flooded 2 times from hurricanes and she was so devastated as she lost so much stuff. Make sure that your fabric/machines and everything else is listed on your policies too.

I am over here in North Carolina waiting for them to tell us or not to get out. Right now they are saying we should get the rain and wind. Might be with out lights for a while. They are telling to have batteries, flashlights and have extra cash on hand. I can't tell you how many people I talk to that don't have extra cash to get because of jobs being laid off. One of our big plants Georgia Pacific closed and lots lost their job. It's really hard. My husband was one of those people. Lucky for him he found a job but with less pay. So its really tight here. I'm sure they will make sure everyone is out safe when it comes to that. Scary but will get through it... I'll be postive and can you imagine the charity quilts we can make. I have a little fabric might be able to get a couple done. I have 2 fleece blankets I will donate. I also have 2 crochet ones too that I will give as soon as I know. If anyone else wants to help let me know and I will get back with you when I know more.
