I had to get something that was lightweight but with good suction......I too ended up with the Shark Navigator and l have liked it....I got the battery one an don't like it as much.

I got the shark rotator and am happy with it. Only has a crevice tool and small brush attachment but does pretty good keeping up with my 2 pugs and all their fur.
