I was raised on McChord Air Force Base and we used to watch the planes take off and land all the time. The coolest was watching the British Harrier's just hang in the air, stationary.
That was also back when Mom used to get mad when they set off Sonic Booms cuz everything on shelves would shake. LOL!!

Neat films..and I'll send them on to some retired AF pilots I know.
I live 8 or so miles from the former SAC AF Base, Castle, and for years the pilots came over my town and made a dogs' leg turn right over the lighted tall apartment buildings in town. Real thunder down below as they pulled into the turn.
