oh i wish i'd know about "happy" pills. my neighbor had 3 dogs that barked constantly, till they died!! years and years of noise, day and night. I never knew dogs could do that.

My huge German Shepard is terrified of thunder storms and fire works. Can't figure out why, he never was before. He's 6 yrs and just started last year. Nothing like a 143 lb GS dog trying to climb in your lap or sitting, not laying between you and DH in bed in the middle of the night shaking like a leaf. We have happy pills for him too. He seems to be getting a little better, but still a little nervous during storms.
I am lucky, both my boys (Bichons), are good with thunderstorms and the fireworks we have going off around us lately.
