We are gun enthusiasts, and shoot at the local range. I have been renting a gun to shoot because my DH's gun is too big for me.

Thats a great weapon. A few years back, my family gave me two gifts, a mink coat and an Italian rifle. I love to hunt. At one time I could out shoot most of my male friends with my 9mm Browning. My grandpa taught me to shoot beer cans off a fence when I was 6. I grew up in Oklahoma and I kept the snakes away from the house with it.

I've always wanted to learn to shoot a gun properly. Have fun at the range!

I'm loving that gift. I finally had to tell my hubby that I didn't want a pow pow for every event in my life. He made his first trip to the jewerly store this year after ten years of marriage. LOL. Enjoy your gun.

To get used to the hand feel. To get used to the new gun itself.
To sight it in, so that it will be accurate when fired. Some guns will have a pull to the left, to the right, high or low, just a tad, but enough that you have to get used to it. That is called "Practice".
