DH has an army jacket that he wore in Vietnam. It means an awful lot to him.

I have replaced the zipper in that jacket at least 4 times. I have put patches on it, several times. I have resewed the seams several times.

I will continue to repair that jacket for as long as he would like me to. He just wears it outside around the house, but he wears it ALL the time.

I told our kids a few months ago (after I had replaced the zipper AGAIN) that they were going to have to bury their dad in that old, worn, tattered jacket.
