Need advice on combining two feather pillows
#1
Two of my feather pillows are losing their fluff so I want to combine all the feathers in one case. Does anyone have advice on how to do this in the LEAST messiest way? I am making a new sealed case and using the old as a liner avoiding leaking feathers when I change the fancy pillow case. I think I will use a mask so I don't get any up my nose. I've never done this before so I hope I don't regret breaking the seal. LOL
Thanks.
Thanks.

i made a cardboard tube approx 6 inches in diameter and opened only 6 inches in each pillow feathers slipped easily from one to the other ---i washed both first and wore a mask work inside over the bath

I did this a few years ago. I don't remember exactly how I did it, but it was messy. I did do it outside and the neighbors must have thought I was crazy. They came to ask WHAT I was doing! LOL!
One thing I can give a hint on- don't overstuff your "new" pillow. I did and it hurts my neck to lay on it now.

I have done it before. The first thing I would do is wash the pillows. Then while they are still wet, take them outside and transfer the feathers to the new casing. Sew it closed and dry. A lot less mess this way! :D
