yes you can remove books from the kindle, I found that reading the User guide helps alot ,I v had mine for a year and just now starting reading though it boy Iv learned alot, your Kindle will hold almost 3000 books right now I have over 127 books,
I love my Kindle and you can get color now but its the most expsenive one (I haven't checked it out I just heard that) I did a review and the Nook,Kindle were almost neck to neck 5 star, I like the Kindle because you can read it outside with sunshine and no glare, I have the cheaper one at the time was 149.00 now its 114.00

I absolutely LOVE my Kindle! Mine has light, a red leather cover and the ability to order my books without having to hook up to the computer. (3G? I am electronically challenged, lol.) It is so nice not to have to lug lots of books around when I travel.

Any advice, or your favorite choice?

I have a kindle and really love it. My sister has an Ipad and has both the Kindle and the Nook apps. She said it is easier to find the books you want for the Kindle than it is for the nook. It is true that the Kindle does not have color but I do not see that as a drawback. Whichever you end up getting, I am sure you will enjoy it. You would be amazed at the books of all kinds that are available for them.

Just bought a Kindle and I love it. I read alot and although I looked at the Nook, I just liked the Kindle....Got the 3G model so can download anywhere...No more trips to town to buy books.

I love my NookColor as I do my original Nook with 3G and WiFi. There was a good thread in April (under "E-readers" in search) where a bunch of people wrote in with their preferences and the reasons for them

I prefer the iPad. It is much more user friendly than the kindle. I haven't compared the nook.

I love my Kindle, I would read my Bible on the bus and train on my way to work, and even my small bible was making my purse heavy to carry. Now I have my bible downloaded on to my Kindle so I can read it everyday on my way to work. I can even manage to read while standing up when I don't get a seat. Best things ever.

I love the feel of a real book in my hand as I read. Would I ever get the same feeling from a kindle?
