Got my full order today from Connecting Threads. No apology from the post office but I did not expect one. It is nice that CT tracks like they do. A happy ending. Wanted to tell this to all who were following the thread.

Glad to hear it. Now you won't have to think about it. I always hated the "wondering what happened to it" part.

Connecting Threads is an awesome shop. They would have made it right regardless. Our postal system is losing money hand over fist. Probably because most of us whine (me included) over buying a "widget" for a penny but having to pay $3.98 for shipping. "Oh my goodness, the shipping price should be way less than the price of the item."

How are they going to charge half a cent for shipping?! Think about it. The shipping price has nothing to do with the item price. Let's all get a bit more educated on that. It's just common sense. Mail a letter across the country, 44 cents. Drive that same letter yourself, hmmm...whacha think?

Sorry to rant on your thread, but I am truly trying to educate people who buy online and encourage buying online. It saves energy, time and resources. We all win. It sure would be nice not to depend on and expect all that oil leaking into our Gulf. Let's be smart quilters and do our part.

Glad it worked out!!!
The PO is my enemy at times....at least, ours here. We went on the road a few years ago for 3 months. Called and told them to quit forwarding our mail when we were headed home...........no problem. Came home, picked up some mail, reminded them to NOT forward it anymore.................no problem. It took 6 weeks and 2 more "visits"............they were STILL forwarding my mail. Now, mind you, the mail was being forwarded back and forth to the same addresses!!!! I told the clerk to quit forwarding...she said they weren't. I said everything, including my insurance cards were NOT being delivered. She said (I kid you not) "it's not being forwarded. And if an envelope says to not forward we don't forward it, we send it back". I asked if they weren't FORWARDING our mail, why would they send my "non-forwardable" mail back. She said "We're not, but we can't forward unforwardable mail". I threw up my hands and left. Two days later I went in and talked with the Post Master.....turns out she hadn't taken out name off the COMPUTER for forwarding the mail........only off the dry-erase board. We discussed what the staff meeting should involve. I suggested firing the idiot!!!!
