Glad you weren't hurt. Hope you get your car fixed soon. Our dd recently hit a deer and just got her car back. Luckily she wasn't hurt.

I can relate. I hit a deer and the eyes. I'll never forget it. Glad you were not hurt.

Ouch! I had a collision with a kangaroo, so know the feeling- $5,000 worth of damage. I drove around in Government cars during my working life - all the way through kangaroo and emu country without hitting one of them.Bought my car with retirement money and wham.At least the deer can't sue you...lol
Glad you weren't hurt and can tell the tale.

we travel on rural roads to get to most places around here and have to always be on alert for those beautiful animals...have had a few close calls....always keep my hand on the horn just in case and drive thru the more wooded areas slower and be on "nature lookout". A few years ago my oldest daughter was following a car that hit a deer and the car kept going as the deer was hit and was tossed to the gully of the road....my daughter(always the animal lover) stopped to see the condition of the deer....it was a doe, she was dead but very prego and because of the impact the fawn was being born, so MD helped the babe enter this world, wrapped it in a blanket from the back of the car, and asked a local where the nearest vet was, took it there, they cleaned it up and notified a local animal rescue and they came and took fawn and were going to put it in their nursery and when old enough it would live in their protected reserve....a Bambi story!!!!!

I feel for you, thank goodness no one was hurt (except the deer). We had 2 deer hits in a 6 month period. First one totalled our car, the second one did $6000 in damage to the new car (the new that replaced the car that was totalled).....sooo..... two $500 deductibles right out of my pocket...that sucked!
