I did get the top done of one of the t-shirt quilts I have been working on. And started on the ones for the second person I said I would do this for. Here is the college one I have been working on.

It is a long queen size, I still have to measure it, and they want a microfiber for the backing. I went looking today and could not find any in the color she wants. I also figured I would check next weekend at the Dallas Quilt show.

This looks great!!!! Getting things to work out when the sizes are so different is always a challenge. Well done!!!

When I was at the dallas quilt show on saturday, I ran into the teacher who taught me how to do t-shirt quilts. Told her that the person I made it for wanted microfiber on the back and she had a great suggestion. to go get a microfiber blanket to use as the backing but highly recommend that it be quilted on a long arm not a home machine. i will do than and possible pay her to do it for me.

I went for my weigh in today. Finally down another 1.4 lbs. Slowly but surely it's coming off. haha

Slow is better, I have seen that when you drop slow you tend to keep it off more.

Cindy, I have only made one T Shirt quilt & I tied it because I was afraid of running over the old shirts with all of the stitches. You can tell that I am a hand quilter & am leary of machine quilting, lol. I NEED to get over that fear!!!

the lady that taught my class, said the best thing to do is to just do stippling on the sashing. and not over the shirts.

Cindy I did FMQ over the designs on my t-shirt quilts. It worked fine on most of them. The ones with a really heavy design I put tissue paper over them and it worked well. The person who does my longarming for me told me to do this. I peeled the tissue paper off and the little pieces that didn't want to peel off came out when i washed it.
I did my bootcamp class today. I think I will be sore tomorrow. They really worked us hard today. Not a lot of aerobics today but a lot of squats and abdomen work. I think my abs will be pretty bad tomorrow. I don't really have any ab muscle so I really need it.
Everyone keep up the good work.

I haven't been doing good, and I am an emotional eater. Been visiting my dad at the nursing home, and Sunday as I was leaving I had a lot on my mind, and went over a concrete thing. Had to call a tow truck to raise my car in the air and get it back out. It's ok though. Then found out yesterday one of my sisters is in the hospital with double
pneumonia, and tomorrow makes one year since my mom died.
This may not be a good month for my weight.

I did get to check out some fabric today though, and that was nice. Cut out some fabric to prepare for working on a table topper for a table in front of one of my windows.

Happy Sewing and Happy Health too.

I'm home from traveling for a day or two and then back to Atlanta before coming home again for good. Good to see family, but lots of running in between. Sounds like we all think alike about watching what we eat, but all of us are so different - emotional eaters, pickers, that sort. I seem to 'just eat'. I walk into the kitchen and see the nuts on the counter - one small serving is good, right? Well if one is good, two or three is better. I say I don't put the sodas and other sweet things in my diet, but I still eat more than my body needs of whatever I do put in my diet. I need to get my head around something and be more cautious of what I put in my mouth. Sometimes I know I shouldn't be doing this, but eat it anyway. It's not emotional eating and it's not binge eating, but don't have a name to put on it. Guess I'll call it Dumb eating!
