I'm back in ND!!! Was a great vacation/business trip. Yes we are new home owners. Purchased property right across the road from land we already own in Michigan. There is a 3 bedroom/2 1/2 bath, double attached garage and polebarn on the 5 acres already. So when DH decides to retire, we will have someplace ready. Although it needs a lot of updating, it is sound.

A HUGE thank you to two people who sent birthday greetings when I was gone. SharonAnne Sharon Woolsey) sent the black/white/pink hearts fabric (someday I will have a "heart" quilt all of my own) with a pencil that is a hoot because I pull weeds where ever I am. The button made into a pin is awesome. Will wear with pride.

The next thank you goes to luvstoquilt (Sharon Lovy). The fabric is wonderful. I love yellows and because of that I tend to horde instead of using it. So both fabrics will go into the "private" stash to look at for awhile. Thanks again!!!

I received the sweetest Birthday RAK in the mail yesterday from Everose (Di). The cutest card, a beautiful FQ and a pen that says awesome, it makes me smile every time I use it and it will always remind me of her kind thoughtfulness. THANK-YOU Di. It was greatly appreciated.
I will post a picture later today.

off topic great news: i finally have internet access, yippee. and my 3 yr job drought is over!!!!!!! yay!!!!!!!! i start monday aug 27th (fist pump) working for a haitian ngo (non-governmental organization). i was suppose to start aug 20th but they forgot to tell me that (miscommunication) but the 27th will work just fine for me.

to all of those who are still job searching, stay encouraged. something is coming your way also. i found this job quite by accident as i was looking at another job posting a friend & colleague had directed me to. you just never know where your next job is coming from. thanks for all of your encouragement also. it was greatly appreciated.

now to get my sewing machines and fabric to my current abode. what a challenge that will be but i am up for it.

Congratulations, Mary! That sounds like a wonderful challenge. Will you be traveling to Haiti?
