I am right there with you on the dirt and with the others on the paint. My brother-in-law could paint an entire room while wearing a suit and not get a drop of paint on it. Me -- I have designated paint clothes and when they get stiff with paint, I trash them.
And many a time I come in the back door after yardwork and strip so I don't track the dirt throughout the house on my way to the shower.
But the main thing is, it all gets done!

I'll have to finish raking up the blasted leaves that dropped after I thought I had most of em done last fall. 5 large pin oak trees and 4 "other" and the woods borders our back yard. I'm too old for this #@$%#@. and dirty when gardening? yep. only way to do it.

My DH is the Pigpen of our family. I am the one that can go outside and plant potatoes and come inside wash my hands and host a dinner. He on the other hand can go water the roses and come back inside needing a shower and a change of clothes. He and I have always been this way and we laugh out loud about it and have for 35 years!

Reminds me of my sister also! We're two years apart, and when we were growing up she could play outside all day, wearing a white dress, and never get a speck of dust on herself. When I'd walk out the door, I'd attract all dust, dirt, vermin, and anything else in a ten mile radius!! My dad called her Magnificent Millie, and me Gravel Gert!!....Not sure where he came up with those names!!!!
