Studies have proven that focusing on and being grateful for these simple pleasures not only decreases stress, but can actually help lift people out of depression. Every morning and every night I try to make a habit of thanking God for at least 3.
A few of mine...
Being greeted with immense joy every time you come home (even if you've only just popped out to the mailbox) by wiggly butt dogs.
Gentle breezes ruffling your hair.
Slicing tomatos still warm from the garden to put on cheese sandwiches.
Listening to your family laugh.
Sitting piled up with your kids on one couch to watch a movie.
