Going to Oklahoma we drove through Joplin. It was hard to take in the damage that has been done.

My group took on rehabbing 26 houses. This past weekend people started moving into them. We are finishing the rest up next weekend, and doing the punch list on the final few the weekend after that. I have seen some rebuilding going on, but mostly in small towns on the outskirts of Joplin. Joplin won't allow any building of homes until all of the debris is removed. Also, it'a my understanding that the city govt. wants houses being built "green" but since that costs twice as much as conventional housing their insurance won't be enough to cover it. Sooo... don't know what's going on there.
I'm sorry I don't know what's going on with the quilt drive. I do know our group received one small quilt and matching pillowcase and another small quilt, so I know they are being distributed.
Everyone there still needs our prayers as it is a monumental task they have ahead of them.

Our guild contacted the quilt guild there about sending $$ donation. They said they have received so much they don't need more.

I am so blessed that the quilters all over the country have responded to their need!!
