I was just wondering if many people have down loaded skpe to their computer? I have really enjoyed talking to friends and family overseas. It's also fun to get to know people and it is free all you need is a webcam.
Cheers Jackie

I have Skype...I am able to talk to my son in the service when he was in Iraq. He is in Afghanistan now, not sure if it is going to work for there or not. It is great to be able to visit and webcam with friends and family with Skype.

It's funny you should mention this.
My DDs and grandkids are getting it and I'm going to try it too this weekend but I have to get a webcam and microphone first.

I'm in PA & had an e-mail quilter friend in South Africa who got me involved with Skype. I now have an old friend 300 miles away from me who Skypes me every day. He is one of those can't spell, so won't type e-mail guys. I love being able to see him & his surroundings while talking to him. If I want to show him something, I just hold it in front of the camera or point my laptop to what I want him to see.

I have it and we use it to talk to the grandkids. It is so much better to be able to actually see them when you're talking to them.

Yes, we have it. We used it when hubby had a trip to Isreal a couple of years ago. We talked on it for three hours one day. Then my daughter is off to college and needs a little bit of home some days. This way she gets to see her dog too. K

I have it. We use it to take to grandkids in Poland.

My sewing room is upstairs along with my computer. My husband and I call each other, as well.
