When you hear the word "baby"....

What do you think of?
I am straightforward- I think of a newly hatched person.
I must admit that it freaks me out a bit to open so many posts here with baby is their title and see that people are talking about cats, dogs, sewing machines, or even guns.....

My daughters are "my girls", my dogs are "my boys" - my Singer Featherweight is "my baby"..............I guess in my mind it refers to little.....
I'm a soon-to-be step grandma of a little baby boy but I've been referring to him as a "mancub" since they found out it was a boy.

And I'm not offended- some people feel as you do. To people like me they are family and I'll go ever further- they are family I prefer :)
