I'd rather be called 'baby' than 'the wife'. That really makes me cringe. Fortunately my DH knows better.
A lot of old movies have that line in it and it always cracks me up - ( this is the wife etc) But in REAL life I'd better not hear it LOL

I love to see the "baby" dog or cat posts. I love my dogs (5) and 1 cat. My boys are long since grown and gone and We don't have grandchildren....so I choose to share my life with dumped dogs and cat. To each there own:)

My dogs are my children. It has been my experience that they are far better behaved than most people children these days.

While I view them as my children, I never drag out photos to show, because I don't expect others to feel the same way about them as I do and I have only posted photos on the board one time when requested to do so.

I do love to see photos of newly acquired pets, especially those that are rescued.

When I hear the word baby, I think of a soft new human being and the smell of powder.

I guess I think of it as something important to the person ... couple be a human baby or a puppy or kitty or a sewing machine etc. I call my dog my baby coz he's the closest thing we have to a human one .... and please, don't tell him he's not family LOL.

My car is named Baby. I consider my pets, my babies. My daughter is my baby. I use it for anything or anyone I take special care of.
