We have racoons, possums, bobcats and foxes and this is in a highly populated area between Fort Worth and Dallas. I guess they adapt to us invading their territory...but we do have to watch out for our dogs and cats. The bobcat and foxes kill them. Our neighbor let her little dog out to do this thing and a large hawk swooped down and took him away. Other neighbors have had cyotes stalking their pets.....Our ranch in west Texas is a pleasant place to watch wildlife....except for the rattle snakes and the critter in the attached pictures...killed north of our ranch. I remember when I still lived on the western slope, a few years back and they were trying to transplant bobcats in the Vail are, I think. The first few years, they didn't do well, but some must have survived and even thrived if they made it as far down as Canon City.
