Hello, I am new here!
HI everyone. My name is Melissa and I just joined the board.
I have been sewing for years and years, and started making simple lap quilts a few years ago, for people in nursing home, our church shut-ins, etc.
I recently finished my first 'real' quilt, and it's at a lady's house to be quilted now. I can't wait to see it all finished! The quilt is for my daughter's bed--she is 15. Now I want to make a quilt for my bed and am looking for a pattern. I do enjoy 'sampler' quilts, since it's not just the same square over and over....any suggestions?
I also enjoy crocheting, mostly with thread--not a fan of yarn. I make a LOT of doilies, and do a lot of pattern testing for a designer, too.

Hi Melissa and welcome to the Board from Southern California! There are tons of samplet type quilts available free on the internet-or just gather some different pieced quilt blocks and connect them with a sashing (as long as the blocks are the same size) and add a border-viola! A sampler quilt.
