Hello! I'm new here!
Greetings from wintry Pennsylvania! My name is Kelly, I'm 25 and I just started quilting.
I tried hand sewing as a teenager, but I didn't get too into it. However, I have always had an interest in making things..especially anything involving fabric. I received my first sewing machine this past Christmas from my parents (I wanted one for years. I cried like a baby!) Never thought I would have such a great machine.
I watched a few videos online about quilting and for some reason I fell in love. So far I've tried two projects..the first one failed. The second one is in the process of being finished. It's a pretty small quilt, but I think it's coming out surprisingly good for a beginner so far. The next thing I have to do is sandwich it...which I'm a little nervous about! Eventually I would like to make home decor items and clothing, but right now I have my mind set on quilting...it seems so therapeutic.
