I have been lurking, reading and learning on this board since March. I have finally completed 20 quilt blocks for a sampler, my first ever quilt. Now I need your advice in choosing the sashing. Would you use a light colored sashing (blocks are laid out on a light green quilt...not a fabric for sashing, but just to get an idea) OR the dark green fabric shown?

Hello and welcome from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I think it would look good with green. Beautiful, love the color combination.

Welcome from Michigan!

i lean more to using a white sashing..and going with the green for a border..

audition the different colors your thinking about..place the color choices under the blocks..let them "rest" there a while..and keep going back to look at them..

Welcome from FL and NC! Your blocks are lovely and I lean toward the dark green sashing. Do post the finished quilt :-)
