Hi, I'm a newbie to the forum, but I've been quilting for many years, and sewing ever since I can remember. I'm so glad to find a quilting cybergroup to join!! The vast majority of my projects are completely by hand, just my preference. At the moment I've just finished piecing a kaleidoscope star lap quilt and I'm getting ready to start piecing a lone star full/queen for my roommate. I'm also drawing up plans for a basting frame and a quilting frame that I hope to build next week so I can get the lap quilt ready to quilt.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. I have a feeling this is going to be a great place for encouragement and ideas to make me a more consistent quilter. I have tons of ideas and my roommate (and one of the anesthesiologists I work with) have accused me of being a bit ADD when it comes to my quilting. I just have soooo many ideas bumping around in my head!!! Not to mention other projects, like slowly restoring an old VW Beetle. Woman's work is never done...
