Hello and welcome from an Iowa girl. Also with a little 4-H green in my blood and a lot of farm in my life! Lovely heart quilt.

Welcome to the board Ranch Wife. I lived in Alturas for 16 years and had good friends in Davis Creek. Wish I could join you & pocoellie for a little quilting fun and to see my hometown!

That's too bad, Quilting D, that you aren't a little closer, most people have never even heard of Alturas, which is okay with us. LOL It means they won't be moving here. LOL If you ever get back here be sure and give us a PM and we'll see about getting together.

Thanks Pocoellie. I would love to meet you and Ranch Wife. I hardly ever get "home" but glad the two of you may get to meet. Alturas really is a well kept secret.
Ranch Wife, have you lived there for long? How about you Ranch Wife?

I was born and raised in Alturas. My husband's family homesteaded in Davis Creek almost 98 years ago and my mother's family about the same time. My roots run very deep here! My kids are 5th generation to live here. I went away for college and came back here to teach.
