I live in So California. I have been quilting for a couple of years but have tons of things to learn. I still have to get out my how to do books when I start a quilt that I haven't done for awhile. I have a lot of problems putting colors together and wonder what I can do to shorten the time I take to finally settle on what colors to put in a quilt, Sometimes I am days just choosing fabric to use. Love some response

Hi!
I'm in Southern California too, but hopefully moving to NM where my family is now. Are you a member of any quilt guilds? Some are very helpful, imformative and encouraging. There is a really fun one in Riverside. They meet third Thursday of every month and we have a blast. Happy Quilting and so glad you found this Board.

Welcome from southern Michigan! I haven' done many quilts yet, but, as a retired teacher, I know the value of "reviewing" before I start something I'm not very comfortable with yet-beats making a giant mistake that would cost lots of time and money to repair later.

About choosing fabrics: it really helps me to choose a focus fabric and then depending on the pattern pick coordinating fabrics. There are color dots on the selvege which are also helpful. Your LQS usually is happy to help you pick out fabrics too.
