Hi, my name is Elaine and I have not been quilting long but I,m truly addicted. I love this forum. It is so informative for us newbies.
I would like some input on what home machine, (long arm),would you recommend for a beginner? I,m not sure if this topic has been discussed already.
I would appreciate any and all from all you experts.
Thanks

It depends on a couple of varibles: how much you can affor, what size quilts that you want to be able to do, and how much room you have for a long arm mach and table.
If cash is a problem, I'd go with an 18" mach, and a 10 ft table. If you can aford more, a 23" machine would do everything that you wanted it to.
Whatever you do, get a speed regulated system. It makes learning so much easier.
As far as brand, I'm partial to KenQuilt mach. You can't get more for the money anywhere.
