Hi, I'm Rhiannon, 29, I live in the Chicago suburbs. I am a total newbie to quilting. Went to the big quilt show with my parents last year and was totally intrigued. i haven't made anything but a little tooth fairy pillow for my son, so I could practice piecing.

For my next project I wanted to do something a little bigger, aw heck, a lot bigger - I'm attempting a quilt for our king sized bed! ha! I made ONE block last night and thought, "this is going to take me a YEAR!" lol.

Anyway, I will surely have lots of questions, so I'm glad to be here!

Thanks, everyone! This seems like a really nice board.

Izy, my mom thought I should hand quilt it. I said no way. I have two small boys and I know if I hand quilt it I will NEVER finish it. lol. Besides, my machine sewing is much straighter, nicer than my hand stitching.
