My DIL left today heading back to Mich. on the train. She will have an 8 hour layover in Chicago (prob tomorrow sometime).
Do you know of anything she can do to fill the time. She does have my 6 mo old grandson with her.

Oh boy, that is going to be a nite mare. Just heard on the news that Chicago would be measuring the snow in feet. She wont be going any where. Just hope she finds a chair. So she can tend to the baby.

hmm .... we've already got 1.5" on the ground and this isn't even "the" snowstorm they're talking about - that one is due to hit tomorrow afternoon. And toting around a toddler ... not a great idea in this weather. I would advise hunkering down and riding it out in the warm train station.

Hope she's out of Chicago by noon - 3pm the latest - that's when it's supposed to 'hit' downtown.

Just found out she hasn't gotten to Chicago yet. I ask for your prayers for her and my grandson.

Will pray for them and you too! It isn't easy to travel with a little one even in the best of circumstances and today certainly is not the best circumstances in the Chicago area. Praying for health and safety for them!
