Welcome from Texas. First let me say. Try working with pre-washed cotton. You'll have much better luck with it. Find a magazine with a super simple pattern or like djmat said, go on quilters catche for some block samples. A pattern though, will take you from beginning to end. We can talk you through any simple pattern on the quilting board. Good luck and stay on here - and we'll get you started!

Welcome from the California desert. I know exactly how you feel about vintage machines, I have them all over the house and enjoy them!

Oh my goodness, I love your name " Onthebrinkofdisaster"! I think we've all been there at some time. I'm sure you will find help here. There's a Vintage and Antique Machine section that is great and they are so helpful.

Glad you are here. Welcome from North Carolina!

Welcome to the board and to the world of machine collecting. Both are so much fun.
