Oh, that's one of those, why didn't I think of that. Love it. I was thinking you could attach it with elastic as well.

that is a good idea , could also be used as a x-mas gift along with a sewing machine cover.

​Make sure you add a piece of plastic inside the pin cushion on the back so you don't scratch up your machine with the pins.

Martha Stewart demonstrated a similar one on her show. I am a bit dubious about pins scratching my machine.
