    That is soooooo cute!!! The only thing I would do differently is to drill from the outside of the thimble to the inside of the thimble. That way the rough metal would be hidden. Just my thoughts.

    i dont know that i would put a hole in my mother's thimble. but within 10 minutes of getting this email i had my husband drill the thimble; had to find the orings. now i need to put it together i cant wait. thank you for a great site. the other items she's made a wonderful also. what an imaginative mind she has.
