For those interested in Project Linus blanket fleece, I went to Golden D'or yesterday, and all fleece was $4.25 a yard. Big selection in a well organized display. There was no licensed character fleece. The quality was not as good, in that the print was not as sharp as more expensive fleece that I have bought elsewhere (such as http://yourfleece.com ). The thickness and softness was quite good, however.
I stocked up on fleece at Golden D'or, and look forward to making many blankets. I just use a single layer of fleece and crochet a border. Not as nice as a quilt, but very cuddly.
I use the Skip Stitch tool #1 and have found a crochet hook size F works best for me. It doesn't stretch the holes as much as the larger sizes do. The original Skip Stitch is only available online http://skipstitch.com I think the brand matters, in this case. It seems that most who have had bad experiences had gotten other brands.
And we ate lunch at Mama's Daugters Diner! The food is home cooking and is served in large amounts! We came out with three take-home boxes!
