I received my NEW Omnigrid mat delivered late in the afternoon by UPS and it was so hot I had to unpack it with oven mitt. I immediately laid it down on my cool vinyl floor. This was the 2nd one shipped to me by JAF. I doubt if being in a UPS truck all day in 100 degree weather is good for any type of rotary mat. Fortunately, this ones appears to be OK.

I ordered one from the Olfa site and it was shipped flat in a flat sturdy box that wouldn't bend. It was the large mat too.

I have warped my cutting mat in several different ways over the years, and the best solution I found was to have a stack of hard bound books handy, and using my blow dryer to heat the mat, then immediately stack the books on top. Wait at least an hour, and flat mat. Works every time. Start with the bubble up, and pile books at least six inches high.

i sometimes leave my mat in the car and it becomes warped. just lay it on the concrete, in the sun. once relaxed, you can bring it in to flat surface and let cool. works fine for me. my freezer is not big enough for my mat.

I ironed on an ironing type board on top of mine and it warped. I laid it on the driveway (in AZ) until it got hot and now it is fine.

I'm curious about this, how do you hang it from the plant hanger? I have 2 & just keep one under the other but they slide a lot while I'm cutting. I have no available flat surfaces other than the space I have them now on my cutting table. Could you private message me with your answer, Thanks a Bunch

What really got my interest was that on a Brand website, they gave a solution for fixing a "wrapped" cutting mat, two references to "wrapped" mat. Now, what would they suggest for one that is "warped"?

I use a wooden PANT hanger.... not a plant hanger, does that answer your question or? here's a picture of what I do.
