Thank you for this tip! I was wondering about just this thing yesterday.

What a great tip! How does it look when the quilt is washed? Will it still crinkle or does it stay smooth?

I am using a lot of Maywood Shadowplay on a Bargello at the moment and find the same raveling problem. I'm sewing 1" to 1 1/2" pieces together and always need to remove one or two threads from the top end. But then I have the same thing happening with the Black Moda fabric, too! Ah, well for a wall hanging it will be fine.

Thankfully so far none of my fabrics have raveled like that. I'm glad you found a way around it.

Thank you for passing along this idea! It sounds like a great solution to the raveling, not-quite-big-enough and bias situations. I'm going to put a package of this stuff out in sight so that I remember to give it a try!

I have a question for anyone. I love this idea, and would have never thought of it. I was given a very large piece of fabric that is quite thin, but perfect little pictures all over for a child. I want to make small blanket--can't think of the name of them, for a baby. My intention is to make a flannel back and the cotton quilting fabric for the front. I saw it done on You Tube. Would it work if I ironed the soft fusible webbing on the back of the thin fabric before I sew it to the flannel back? Would it be too stiff for a baby? And someone else asked if it would crinkle when washed. ??? Waiting not to patiently for an answer, and thanks in advance. TIA

What a great idea. I would never have thought of doing that. Thanks for sharing.
