Anybody Machine embroirdered to quilt a quilt?

I made a quilt for my son and it the theme was scooby doo.To quilt it I did a bone outline machine embroidery design. Didn't leave the machine as fear the hoop might pop or the quilt would fall off the table making a problem but it worked like a charm.
