I haven't used it but am interested in hearing how it wears. I buy my batting by the roll when Joann's has a 60% off sale. So far I have been lucky enough to snag a roll when I need one.

I LOVE my bamboo batting, think mine is also a 80/20 bamboo/cotton.

It IS my preferred batting of choice.

I like it and have no issues with it migrating through needle holes. I agree it's a bit dusty during the quilting process, so just make sure to clean your machine innards regularly when using it.

I think it has a very nice drape and the texture shows off FMQ beautifully. My experience with it is that it's a bit lighter -- so makes a nice summer quilt.

I was interested in using bamboo batting (particularly the Dream Orient blend), but then read up about it and learned that it is processed using very harsh chemicals, which are not environmentally or worker friendly. This also goes for organic bamboo; the 'organic' refers to how it is grown, not to the processing. While it would be possible to mechanically process the bamboo, the expense makes it prohibitive. After learning this, it lost some of its appeal, so I went with the Hobbs silk batting instead.

I used Dream Orient (bamboo, silk, and cotton) on a quilt earlier this year. I had lots of lint and places where the batting came through. It may have been that I quilted in a radiating circle though. However, the draping was gorgeous.

I am a fan. Have had no problems. It is more linty when quilting, but I have not had trouble once done. Washes nicely. I quilt on my DSM so don't know if that makes a difference.

I have used bamboo batting a lot, and my biggest complaint is it makes so much fuzz! It's wonderfully soft, and feels really nice, and I think it quilts up nice, but so much fuzz is annoying.4

I used it with Minky backing because it is lighter and wouldn't make such a thick quilt. It worked great, and drapes nicely.

I recently finished a quilt using a 50/50 cotton/bamboo blend batting, and I am a convert! It quilted up beautifully, no fibers trying to escape, after washing up it is the most luscious quilt in the house. It's always a race between me and my children to see who gets to cuddle up with that quilt on the couch.
