WOW Barb, very stunning. I have also heard to contact Judy with questions. Her instructions are quite detailed and you might have missed something. Good Luck. I am still shopping for fabric for my Island Sunrise.

Wowza, Barb, that is awesome! There was recently another thread about this quilt, that someone was having trouble with, and there was a tutorial link posted in the thread, which I believe said not to square the block.

Barb: Thank you very much for your help. I have PP many quilts but this one is really a challenge. I am not used to working with Bali fabric maybe that is the problem. I will keep plodding along. Your quilt is truly magnificent you have done a great job.

I have purchased a boatload of Judy's patterns, but didn't realize the difficulty until I took a class from a Judy Neimeyer-approved teacher. She was able to explain things that were difficult to understand when reading the pattern. I'm so glad I took that class through my quilt guild. I'd probably be exactly in your shoes if I hadn't. If at all possible, see if there is anyone in your area who has learned from Judy. Her classes are extensive, and her students really have to know their stuff to pass the class.

Thanks for all the compliments. I picked out the fabric for the arcs, but my amazing, talented, artistic husband made the choices of where to put the different colored arcs should be placed. I'm just the sewer. He has to finish the bottom row...we are running out of arcs and I don't really want to make any more. I should be sewing on it again in a couple of days. I want to have the top finished by the end of June. JN patterns are a bit time consuming. If I didn't care that my points were accurate and my blocks matched up within a 16th of an inch, it wouldn't take me nearly as long. But I do! This is one I am going to keep for a long time.
